Affiliate disclosure

In plain English

• Some links on thisMETER are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission. You pay the same price either way.
• Affiliate links are marked for search engines as sponsored (rel="sponsored nofollow").
• This disclosure appears on every page with affiliate links, above the first link.

Programs we participate in

thisMETER is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, thisMETER earns from qualifying purchases.

We don't work with other retailers yet. Any we add will be listed here.

Outside the US

Visitors in the UK and Canada may be sent to their local Amazon store (Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.ca) by Amazon OneLink. The same disclosure applies there.

What it doesn't change

• Picks are based on specs, safety ratings and fit for the job, never on commission rates.
• Brands and retailers can't pay for placement, and there are no sponsored posts.
• If we ever receive a product free, the guide will say so.
• Where we can't confirm that a retailer's listing is the right product, we link the maker's own page instead, which earns nothing.

Prices

We don't show prices. Amazon only allows live prices through its API, and a price written into a page goes stale; the retailer's page always shows the current one. That's why our buttons say "Check price on Amazon".
