Which version should you buy?

This page covers: Fluke 107 with TL75 leads and SmartStrap.

  • Fluke 107 standard package

    This page

    Model: 107 (part 4367953)

    What differs
Pocket meter with TL75 leads and SmartStrap; adds diode, frequency and duty-cycle tests over the 106.
    Best for
Everyday electrical checks where True RMS accuracy is unnecessary.
  • Fluke 106 pocket meter

    Model: 106

    What differs
Simpler sibling that retains capacitance measurement; diode, frequency and duty-cycle tests are 107-only functions.
    Best for
Basic voltage, current, resistance and capacitance checks.
  • Fluke 107 with BK120 breaker finder

    Model: BK120/107 Kit (part 5587530)

    What differs
Adds a BK120 breaker-finder receiver and transmitter to the 107 meter package.
    Best for
Buyers needing to identify circuit breakers as well as take meter readings.

Watch out

  • The standard 107 package already includes TL75 leads and SmartStrap; the BK120 kit adds a separate breaker finder.
  • Both 106 and 107 measure capacitance; diode, frequency and duty cycle distinguish the 107.
  • The 107 is not a True RMS meter.
  • Duplicate or newer 107 listing titles do not establish a new meter generation.

Why people pick it

  • Pocket-size Fluke rated CAT III 600V
  • 6,000-count display with backlight and data hold
  • Adds capacitance, frequency and duty cycle to the basics
  • Magnetic SmartStrap hangs it from any steel surface

Know before you buy

  • Not True RMS: Fluke positions it for jobs where True RMS accuracy isn't needed
  • No microamp or milliamp ranges; current starts at the 4 A range
  • Rated for a 1 m drop (Klein rates its MM420 for 2 m)
  • Fluke lists no non-contact voltage detection or LoZ mode
