Which version should you buy?

This page covers: Fluke 323 with test leads and soft case.

  • Fluke 323 standard package

    This page

    Model: 323 (part 5065521)

    What differs
Basic AC-current clamp meter with test leads and soft case. It measures AC/DC voltage, but not DC current, capacitance or temperature.
    Best for
Commercial and residential AC load checks.
  • Fluke 323 with calibration certificate

    Model: 323 CAL (part 5160572)

    What differs
Same 323 with a traceable calibration certificate and data from Fluke.
    Best for
    Workplaces requiring documented calibration.
  • Fluke 116 and 323 HVAC kit

    Model: 116/323 Kit (part 4296029)

    What differs
Pairs the 323 with a 116 HVAC multimeter; temperature and DC microamps are functions of the 116.
    Best for
HVAC technicians checking temperature and flame sensors alongside AC load current.
  • Fluke 117 and 323 electrician’s kit

    Model: 117/323 Kit (part 4296041)

    What differs
Pairs the 323 with a 117 multimeter; the 117 supplies non-contact voltage detection and AutoV/LoZ.
    Best for
Electricians wanting both an electrician’s multimeter and an AC clamp meter.
  • Fluke 324 with temperature and capacitance

    Model: 324 (part 5065853)

    What differs
AC-current sibling adding temperature, capacitance and a backlight; it still has no DC-current range.
    Best for
HVAC work needing temperature and capacitor checks from the clamp meter itself.
  • Fluke 325 with DC-current measurement

    Model: 325 (part 5065866)

    What differs
Adds DC clamp current and frequency measurement, with temperature, capacitance, backlight and Min/Max.
    Best for
DC circuits or troubleshooting needing frequency and Min/Max readings.

Watch out

  • AC/DC voltage on the 323 does not mean it can measure DC current; the 325 adds DC clamp current.
  • The 116/323 HVAC kit and 117/323 electrician’s kit contain different multimeters; match the full kit name.
  • The 323 CAL adds calibration paperwork, not extra measurement functions.
  • Temperature, capacitance and a backlight on sibling models do not apply to the plain 323.

Why people pick it

  • True RMS on AC current and voltage for non-linear loads
  • CAT IV 300V and CAT III 600V rating
  • Slim 265 g body that fits tight panels
  • Simple dial for quick AC current checks

Know before you buy

  • No DC current, so it can't read car, solar or battery current
  • No backlight
  • Resistance tops out at 4,000 Ω, and there's no capacitance, frequency or temperature
  • Add 2% to the AC current accuracy for position sensitivity, per Fluke
